Delete Your Hexshroom Account

How to delete your Hexshroom account and the data stored with it. This applies to the Hexshroom Android app and the game at hexshroom.com.

🍄 Delete your account in the game

The fastest way. Your account is deleted straight away.

Open Hexshroom (the Android app, or hexshroom.com) and sign in to the account you want to delete.
On the main menu, tap SAVE FILES & CLOUD SYNC.
On the MY ACCOUNT tab, tap Delete account under your account details.
Tap DELETE FOREVER.

Confirming it’s you: if you signed in with Google a while ago, Google asks you to choose your account again first. If you signed in with an email address and password, sign out, sign in again, then delete your account within a few minutes.

If you can’t open the game, email support@hexshroom.com with the subject “Delete my account”. Send it from the email address you signed in with (your Google account’s address if you used Google sign-in), so we can find your account and know the request comes from you.

We delete the account and the data listed below within 30 days and reply to confirm. If we can’t tell the account is yours, we’ll ask you to confirm it.

🗑️ What’s deleted

Your sign-in account (Google, or email and password) and its user ID.
Your profile: your name, email address, profile picture link and save-file PIN security data.
Your cloud save: levels, stars, spores, unlocked characters and worlds, and settings.
Your entry on the public leaderboard.
The cloud save stored under your device’s sync code, if you used one to link devices.

💾 What’s kept

Progress saved on your device stays, so you can keep playing without an account. To remove it, uninstall the app, or clear hexshroom.com’s site data in your browser.
Leaderboard scores from before you signed in are saved under an anonymous ID that isn’t linked to your account. To have one removed, email us the name it shows on the leaderboard.
Gameplay statistics (Google Analytics) contain no name or email address and aren’t linked to your account. Google deletes them automatically when their retention period ends.
Backups: deleted data can remain in Google Cloud’s encrypted backups of our database for a limited time (Google states up to about six months) before it’s permanently overwritten. It isn’t used or restored.
CrazyGames: if you play Hexshroom on CrazyGames, your progress there is saved with your CrazyGames account, which CrazyGames manages. Delete it from your CrazyGames account settings.
